New look

We have been in Idaho now almost a year. (year in May) Things are going well. the kids are growing and thriving on the mountian air and sunshine. :) We have been blessed with renters in our house back in Washington which has provided enough income to pay the bills here and our mortgage. Now with Spring rolling around we are looking at "spring cleaning" our finances. How do we plan on doing that, you ask? Well, we have been in contact with a realtor about selling our house. This is our biggest exspense right now and our hold up for buying something here in Idaho. She says spring and summer are the best times so this past weekend Jim went to Seattle to look at what needed to be done with the house to get it on the market this spring. Our realtor suggested we get rid of the purple paint in the house so Jim and some wonderful friends and family spent last Saturday painting the house. It was no easy feat as the purple was all over (ceiling, dining room, living room, hall way, trim, door, window ledges...etc.) Before we knew we were moving I had tried to paint but only did the one solid purple wall then realized how much work the rest would be and decided against it.  Now the house looks beautiful and I wish we could be there to enjoy it. Here are before and after pictures. Good job everyone!

This is the beautiful wall I painted before we left and how it looks with the new colors
Yes, the front door is still purple. Jim said it was going to require a little more work to do that one.
So now it looks gorgeous! Those that want to know..This wall is Hot Chocolate. The ceiling, trim and ledges are String of Pearls and then the other walls are Timeless Taupe. :) Good choice of color, Jim.
