Bryce Battles

Bryce definently has started to show his personality and for the most part he is like us, low key and easy going. He doesn't mind going places and for the most part sleeps well in other surroundings. Although since Thanksgiving it has been a struggle with bedtime. He would scream and fought going to sleep. Then he stopped taking naps after Christmas. I was about to pack him up and send him away for a month so I could catch up on sleep! Then I realized he wasn't getting enough to eat, mainly milk. My supply has decreased rapidly. (I noticed it declining when he got the bad RSV). I started back on this herb the lactation nurse recommended called FENUGREEK. It is suppose increase milk production which it does for me. In the mean time I have started supplementing with formula. Since I started giving him more he is back to sleeping through the night, and taking 2 two hour naps! Yipppeee!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe a new year is on horizon. It is crazy to think that 2007 is almost over. It has been a good year for us. We had lots of challenges, adventures, and lots of wonderful memories. Some of the challenges were finding a new job after I had heard my boss say she wasn't sure she'd make payroll, buying a house, being pregnant with morning sickness for 2 months! yuck! (hopefully that will not be a reoccurring thing with any future pregnancies.) Some of the adventures have been setting up house and all that goes with owning one, having a baby and being new parents, and a couple trips to Idaho and one to Alaska. (I went alone and pregnant on that one! And I did fine....except at museum in the whaling room. lol)

Jim and I have been together almost 8 years and we are more in love today than ever. Jim is such a wonderful dad, and husband. You can just tell his family comes first in his eyes and he wants the best. I admire how hard he works at his job even when he doesn't feel like going or has a rough day. I especially love watching him play with Bryce. Bryce just grins and squeals when he hears Daddy come home! I love it!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Now that Bryce is eight months he spends more time climbing up to standing! He loves climbing mounds of clothes and taking all my folded laundry and throwing them around. He has to keep moving but still likes to cuddle with mommy.(I soak that up because I know there will be a time when that will end) He can crawl on all fours (though he often chooses not to) and can sit up on his own now. Let's what else is new with my little guy? Oh he waves hello and says: "hi", mama, dada, ba, and occasionally "okay". He is working on saying "papa", and "t" sounds.

We are wishing you all a wonderful Christmas as we in together with family and friends to celebrate Christ's birth.
Merry Christmas!

Gearing up for Christmas!

Wow! It's been a while since I updated this. Sorry for such the delay. It has been crazy busy here. With Jim working late hours because of peak season for UPS and me working and then lots of Christmas parties, I haven't had really any down time. Plus with the crazy flood we had here I couldn't get out for two days and so spent that time getting the Christmas decorations out and decorating!

Bryce has changed a lot since Christmas. He now can crawl on all fours although still prefers the camocrawl. He can also get into a sitting position on his own and pull up on furniture. He seems to be in a hurry to grow up! I wish he'd slow down.

He talks alot more and understands what you say to him. He has a very bright look on his face. With Jim being gone a lot we have started doing story time with Daddy when he is home in time for putting Bryce to bed. The both love the time together and I get a break :)

For Christmas this year we will be staying local. Christmas Eve day both Jim and I are working but only half days and so the afternoon we will spend just the three of us. Then go to my extended family party and in the evening go to the candlelight service at church. Christmas day has become a tradition to spend with Jim's family so we will do that again this year. I just hope they are ready for a crawling explorer who no longer likes to be held all the time! But then Grandma knows how much he moves seeing as how she watches him while I work.

I try to get out and walk every day but some days are harder. Bryce loves to be outside and look at all the cars and people. He gets a big grin on his face and sits at the edge of his seat to soak it all in. He loves dogs I've discovered. I thought it was just my parents' but he got all excited and reached out for a maltese my friend had and another friend's lab. He's still not a big fan of cats and clings to me or cries when he sees one.

Here's a few pictures of out latest adventures.

Here's the flood of 2007 This is looking down our street towards 24th str (our main drag out)

He loves his Tupperware and scatters it all over the floor!
